Step 1: Start Small.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you start to declutter, but it’s also easy to avoid the stress …… just start small. Don’t think of decluttering your whole home, just think about decluttering a drawer, a shelf, a cabinet a closet. The point is just to start somewhere.
Step 2: Remove the excess.
Go through the space and collect any items that meet these criteria.
a. Broken / no longer working items.
b. Clothes that are too small / old or damaged.
c. Toys / games & books your children have outgrown.
d. Duplicates of regular household items .

At this stage it’s important that you don’t get ahead of yourself and start to organise too soon. If you try to organise things you should really be discarding – you’ll just end up with the same clutter in a matter of months. This is because the stuff you don’t want will just be in the way, you will be constantly be moving it around to try to get to the things you really do want. So take your time and ensure that you are really getting rid of all the excess.
Step 3: Clean as you go
Empty a space, clean it and only put back the things you are keeping.
Step 4: Find a new home for the Removals
Tip / Charity Shop / Donations – whare ever your things are going – make sure they get there. Put them in the car and take them away as soon as you can. Otherwise these things will gradually reappear in your home.
Step 5: Organise.
This is the tricky one. You need a new mindset about how you organise your home. Afterall your previous plan led you to a clutttered and unorganised house. Organising takes a bit of thought, so dont rush it.
